Welcome to Booklore!
More than just a bookstore, Booklore is a cultural space nestled in the heart of Marrakech—an oasis for curious minds. We offer a thoughtfully curated selection of rare, unexpected, and captivating books, each with its own story to tell. Our name reflects a deep appreciation for literary knowledge and traditions, while our logo, inspired by the dragonfly (libellula in Latin, meaning “little book”), serves as a poetic correspondence between the world of books and the world around us.
Booklore also hosts workshops, and events for all ages—inviting the community to connect, create, and explore.

Our 3 Picks of the Week 〰️
Collective Memory 70-85
-
“In his recent series of paintings and drawings inspired by the Moroccan dirham, Akrim chooses to highlight the representation of labor and post-colonial state iconography, of which currency is one of the main emblems. He extracts archives from the official past to propose new representations of the future; questioning the massive production of money, whose ephemeral visual identities exist everywhere in large numbers (even if they are not often seen or recognized). The viewer is invited to observe these replicas and reconstructions of currency, now out of circulation, which remain as traces of history.”
— Emma Chubb
The Island Of Missing Trees
-
'A wise novel of love and grief, roots and branches, displacement and home, faith and belief. The Island of Missing Trees is balm for our bruised times'
— David Mitchell
Manifeste pour la terre et l'humanisme
-
Beyond categories, nationalisms, ideologies, political divisions, and everything that fragments our shared reality, the time seems to have come to call for the insurrection and federation of consciences, to pool humanity’s best and avoid the worst.”
— Actes Sud
